AddSecure appoints new President Smart Alarms

AddSecure has appointed Peter Johansson, a senior executive with international management background, as new President of Smart Alarms to further strengthen the company's growth strategy.

AddSecure, a leading European provider of secure IoT connectivity solutions with a focus on critical communications and safe data, today announced the appointment of Peter Johansson as new President of Smart Alarms.

In this role, Peter Johansson will lead the global Smart Alarms organization, driving commercial and customer strategy, and identifying new market opportunities, thus ensuring the delivery of short-term customer needs as well as the long-term business strategy for the business unit.

Peter brings with him more than 20 years’ experience from CEO positions, heading several corporations in Europe and Asia, of all sizes, spanning from the start-up phase to mature business, including Ericsson JV in China, Emerson Energy Systems in China, Schneider Electric Buildings in Sweden, and Nasdaq-listed Image Systems.

When asked about his appointment, Peter said: “I’m very excited to join the AddSecure team. I feel confident that with my previous experience of having led several companies through strong growth, both organically and through acquisitions, and with the support of the committed Smart Alarms team, we can further advance the growth strategy of the company.

Peter Johansson took on the role October 1, 2021 and is part of AddSecure’s Corporate Management Team. The appointment follows former President of Smart Alarms Magnus Lengdell’s appointment to Group CTO.
