AddSecure, a leading European provider of secure IoT connectivity and end-to-end solutions, today announced that it enhances its video telematics solution with the integration of the driver safety index “Safety Score”. The technology records events detected by the onboard cameras (fatigue, distraction, lack of seatbelt, phone use, driver distraction, sudden braking, etc.) and compiles them into dynamic reports, accessible to the fleet manager on AddSecure’s software platform.
“The Safety Score makes it possible to move from hundreds of alerts per day and per truck to data that is compiled and analysed, with the aim of creating a comprehensive and actionable indicator for the manager, with efficiency in mind. The Safety Score service includes dashboards on AddSecure’s web portal, offering the business an overview of the fleet’s scores as well as individual ratings, continuously updated, for each driver. Dynamic graphics allow trends to be tracked (increasing or decreasing safety levels) and ratings to be compared by period or between drivers. Safety Score offers customisable settings, report downloads in PDF or Excel format, and generates real-time alerts (email/messaging).
The solution is designed to help transport companies and fleet managers prioritise driver training actions by intelligently processing large volumes of data and presenting them in a simple, easy-to-understand way. Safety Score provides drivers with clear and reliable indicators, enabling tailored training programmes and encouraging prevention and coaching rather than a surveillance-based approach.
