AddSecure enters secure communication market as "new" player

Today sees the establishment of a major new player in the secure communication sector, as Multicom Security AB, Safetel AB, Safetel AS and Securinet AS join forces to form AddSecure. Its sights are firmly set on achieving growth through an attractive range of products and high customer satisfaction. Boasting in excess of 100,000 customers, AddSecure will turn over in the region of MSEK 400 in Scandinavia. It aspires to become a leading player in northern Europe and the logical choice for customers on the Scandinavian market.

"We're delighted to have finally secured the deal," said Stefan Albertsson, CEO for AddSecure. "Merging the companies allows us to offer the best quality from a range of fields – we'll focus on service where we do it best, and technology likewise. To achieve success, we must pool our existing strengths and exceed the market's expectations."

The merger will also enable more opportunities for investment in product and market development, while there are clear synergies created by the provision of complementary products and overlapping customer portfolios.

"We've been tasked with strengthening in every area," adds Albertson. "In size, professionalism, innovation and not least, interaction with the customer. Excelling in one area is no longer enough."

AddSecure is well positioned to secure market share in Scandinavia and expand into new markets across northern Europe. The new company will be officially launched on Monday 23 March, with customers, partners and distributors greeted by the new motto, "Have a safe day".

The owners are GMT Communications Partners LLP, Viking Venture AS, Follum Invest AS and B. Skaugen AS.

The Nordic company AddSecure acquires Chiron Security Communications, an AoIP company that operates across Europe and beyond. Through the acquisition, AddSecure takes a big step towards their goal, to be the leading supplier of secure communication for alarm and IoT solutions in Europe.

IFSEC International, London, 21st of June, 2017 – AddSecure, consisting of the three former companies Multicom Security, Safetel and Securinet, today announce that they will acquire the Chiron Security Communications. Chiron has designed and developed communication systems for the security industry for over 27 years. With the acquisition, AddSecure will broaden their product portfolio and be able to offer a wider range of solutions to the customers. At the same time, the company takes a big step towards realizing their ambition in becoming the leading supplier in Europe.

    - With the acquisition of Chiron Security Communications we will not just have a broad and unique offer to our customers in the Nordics but also realize our plan to establish ourselves globally, says Stefan Albertsson, CEO at AddSecure.

Chiron is a privately owned security communications company that has been operating for 27 years and is well known within the European and world markets as a provider of advanced Alarms over IP (AoIP) systems.  Over the last few years, it has built a market lead in many markets across Europe and is the most favored AoIP system amongst monitoring centers, with over 200 monitoring centers in 46 countries using the Chiron IRIS AoIP system.

    - We are proud and happy that AddSecure saw the potential in our company, says Ian Tredinnick, CEO at Chiron. With a strong focus on customer needs, I am sure that AddSecure is best suited to take this to the next level.

The combination of the two companies is supported by both management teams that see a significant synergy, both through market base and new technologies.  Most importantly, both Chiron’s customer base and AddSecure’s customer base will be able to use Chiron’s new interactive services, which will soon be launched.
