To further strengthen the security of the NGP Portal and protect your connected NGP terminals, AddSecure will activate multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all AddSecure NGP Portal accounts starting Wednesday, 15 October 2025.
Why multi-factor authentication?
Even complex passwords can be compromised. MFA adds a critical layer of protection against unauthorised access – helping to prevent tampering with terminal settings or misuse of site information. While it may introduce a small extra step, this change significantly enhances the safety and integrity of your operations and data.
What you need to do
Before 15 October, please download a trusted MFA app to your smart device. We recommend:
- Microsoft Authenticator: Download & Info →
- Google Authenticator: Download & Info →
These apps are free and available for both Android and iOS devices.
From 15 October, when you next log in, you will need to:
- Enter your username and password on the portal and click ‘Sign in’ as usual.
- You will then see a QR code and setup instructions for authenticator.
- Once that’s set up, you will need to enter a one-time code generated by an MFA app. This is a standard security practice used widely in online banking and platforms like Gmail and Amazon.
